Sault, a village at the foot of Mont Ventoux and surrounded by lavender fields.
Situated on the edge of a vast wooded plateau planted with fine lavender, Sault is a charming and very pleasant village perched at an altitude of 776 m, and is one of the French sites protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Sault offers visitors a wide variety of activities to enjoy the natural environment: a starting point for climbing Mont Ventoux by bike (the summit is 25 km from the hotel), motorcycle or on foot, a starting point for discovering the Lubéron and Plateau d'Albion regions, and gouffres and avens for experienced speleologists.
Mont-Ventoux, a giant rising to 1912m
Mont Ventoux dominates Provence, the Giant of Provence, looking north towards the Alps and south towards the Mediterranean. It's a land of vineyards, orchards and lavender. Small spelt, the ancestor of wheat, is also grown here.
The forests of Mont Ventoux are a site of permanent activity, with cyclists, hikers, shepherds, hunters, athletes, scientists and mushroom gatherers.
It's also a sportsman's paradise, with the personal and physical challenge of climbing by bike or hiking.
Ochres, the beauty of Colorado Provençal.
Open in summer from 8am to 7pm. Shaded parking and picnic tables on site.
In Rustrel, near Apt, the earth is flaming red, in places orange. Sometimes it turns yellow or even green, and as the sun sets, it turns a dark purple. Ochre colors the Luberon landscape.
The village of Roussillon also offers a walk through the ochre quarries in the heart of the hilltop village

Lavender, an immersion in colors and scents
Close your eyes, breathe in... You're in Provence! The Provence of lavender fields in bloom! It's in the height of summer, from early June to mid-August, that we see them waving like a blue meadow.
Lavender spreads its fragrance mainly over the Pays de Sault at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Lavender fields also produce one of the most subtle honeys, and it's worth daring to discover it in gastronomy. In summer, farmers and distilleries open their doors to you, inviting you on a tour of their bewitching scents!
Every year on August 15, the Lavender Festival attracts thousands of visitors.
